THE BUZZ: Perhaps one lesson learned from Battleship (2012): audiences don't necessarily want classic board games and toys turned into overly serious action-adventure tales. So we were relieved when Warner Bros. announced the project as an animated movie to be co-directed by the guys from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009). That said: Candy land really would make for a freaky Gothic horror story.
